A teacher or caretaker interacts with a group of young children playing with colorful educational toys at a table in a classroom or daycare setting.

The knowledge and experience of an Occupational Therapist (OT) is invaluable in helping these children learn, participate, and succeed.

Many children don’t receive formal OT services because their symptoms aren’t severe to qualify through their school district or health insurance. However, they may still benefit from many of the same strategies used in therapy that are easy for parents and educators to integrate at home or in the classroom.

Disclaimer: The strategies and activities provided are for general support and do not replace formal Occupational Therapy services. If you have concerns about a child’s development, consult with your school district or pediatrician.
